YouTube - Star Trek Meets Monty Python

I thought it was time to take a leaf out of the YouTube Digger’s book… he’s a great guy, funny, devilishly handsome, and also very modest! So I’m going to start trawling the archives for some clips which will fit on Pop Buzz UK, and show some funny, clever, and downright genius moments from British pop culture.

We start with a clip combining one of the great American sci-fi shows with probably the daddy of classic alternative comedy, as I present to you Star Trek meets Monty Python! Dun dun dunhhhhhh…

It’s worth watching just to see Captain Kirk, and the oh so annoyingly smug Spock having their walking speeded up to great comedy effect. Whoever made this video deserves a pat on the back as it is very well edited. If you haven’t seen “The Holy Grail”, you’re missing out on a classic piece of British comedy, and the Knights that say “Ni”! If you haven’t seen Star Trek then, well, you must have been living under a rock for 40 years.

    that was cute. check out Myspace.com/youmail for a fun Spock voicemail greeting “There are no life forms present to answer your call”.. the cool thing is that you don’t need to play it for everyone… it jsut plays for the CALLER ID that you want it to play for when you miss your call. Pretty cool eh
