The Buzz Begins!

So here we are, my pop culture blog. And it’s all shiny and new, a clean page for me to write my ramblings on. I’m Dave with a P on the end for good luck, a 29-year-old British bloke very into my pop culture. That includes celebrity, television, music, movies, current affairs, fashion and a lot more besides.
My intention with this blog is to tell the world what’s going on, what’s hot, trendy and hip. This will obviously be with a British flavour and a UK bias, but most trends and news stories are worldwide these days anyway. My aim is to include rather than exclude…whatever country you happen to reside, colour you may be, internet connection you are using, age and blah blah blah, you get the picture.
The aim is to post daily and the weekly menu will include (take a deep breath now) the big celebrity stories, music and gig news, games news and reviews, film news and reviews, a technology update, and TV news. There will also be the occasional look back at old pop culture, an in depth look at a living icon and looks at the fashion, art and theatre worlds.
This will hopefully be a multimedia site, with photos, links, videos and music clips for you to absorb and enjoy. I will also heartily welcome your comments on any of the posts I make. After all what is a blog if it’s not interactive? We’re not living in 2003 you know
So sit back, read at leisure, smile, laugh, share and then come back again tomorrow for more of the same.

So…Torchwood.
What do you think?

Thanks for being my first commenter Elisa
I am liking Torchwood so far, although I think it lacks the pace of Doctor Who somewhat. I like the idea, and early episodes are never a true reflection on the series so I’ll keep watching.
I’ll be writing a piece on Torchwood soon so keep reading!

A piece on Torchwood? Great!
And yes, I’m liking it so far.
How about all those Who references in ep. 1?

I think it deserves a piece all of it’s own, certainly Doctor Who has had a cultural revival.
I noticed all the references in Ep 1 too, which I liked. It’s a way of connecting with us Doc fans without alienating noobs I suppose. Loving the climax craving alien from Ep 2!

Seriously! Nice timing on the call from the boyfriend. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they do with the series.
Can you imagine what they’d do with a Christmas special? *giggle*

Oooh a christmas special would be good. The Dr Who one with Catherine Tate in is looking good. Apparently she becomes his temporary assistant for just the one episode.
I’m hoping Torchwood gets better and better and maybe we’ll see the other offices in London and Glasgow too.
