Paris Hilton To Star In Celebrity Big Brother 2008?
Reports are emerging that suggest Paris Hilton could be the first celebrity to sign up for next year’s Celebrity Big Brother UK. The show is expected to be on television in January, and talks have begun to lure various celebrities in to joining the show.
The Sun newspaper claim that Paris Hilton has been offered £300,000 to appear on the show, and for that price is willing to be locked up (for the 2nd time) for 3 weeks. A source told the newspaper:-
“We told Paris, ‘Name your price’.”
“We’re in firm talks, and it would be a fantastic coup to get her.”
“She wants people to see that she’s not a bimbo or a wild child.”
“The only time anyone hears about her is when she’s been up to no good — or saying something ridiculous.”
“She’s actually smart and funny, with lots of interesting things to say.”
“She would easily be the star of the show — but obviously she won’t do it unless the money is right.”
The £300,000 offered so far would match that which was paid to Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty last year. I can see Paris being bullied like Shilpa was, but this time it won’t be over race, more the fact that she’s a twat.
I really hope this comes off as much as I dislike the airhead heiress I think it would make great viewing. The thing is this is just a rumour right now, and every year various celebs are claimed to be going on the show.
We usually end up with plebs like H from Steps instead. Time will tell!
