Pamela Anderson And Kid Rock Divorcing
Another day, another celebrity divorce, ok, this is getting boring now. Not a month after Britney and K-Fed announced they are splitting; Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson now file for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. And this celebrity pairing have has only managed to last a paltry 4 months, making Britney’s 2 years seem almost a lifetime.
The rock musician married former pin up and Baywatch star Anderson in late July of this year, aboard a yacht in St.Tropez. This followed a tumultuous on off relationship which has been going on for a good 5 years, first ending properly in 2003 before they renewed their relationship earlier this year. Unfortunately yesterday Monday 27 November, the pair filed court papers to end the unhappy coupling. Rumours had been circulating all day of the split and Pamela confirmed these on her website yesterday evening.
The reason for the divorce has been given as irreconcilable differences, which to my mind is legal speak for arguing to the point of throwing things at each other. I’ve heard and read reported today that Kid Rock was very displeased with Anderson’s role in the Borat movie. She was actually one of the few people in the film who were in on the joke so why the displeasure I have no idea. The couple have no kids together which is something to be glad about, although reports of Anderson having a miscarriage earlier this month are sad if true but were never confirmed.
So that’s 4 high profile celebrity divorce filings this month alone, following Britney and K-Fed, Kate Hudson and Christopher Robinson, and film stars Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe. Not to mention the biggie of Paul McCartney and Heather Mills a few months ago. What’s going wrong? Maybe celebrities should spread out a bit and try meeting and falling in love with a few of us non stars occasionally. It seems when 2 people in the limelight get together, there’s just too much pressure or not enough time in their lives and schedules to keep each other happy.
