David Beckham In Australia For Galaxy Friendly | Victoria Claims Injuries Make Him ‘A Grumpy Old Man’
David Beckham is currently in Australia, and training at the Olympic Stadium ahead of a friendly against Sydney FC tomorrow.
He and his L.A. Galaxy team mates today had their first training session in front of new manager Rudd Gullit, although the crowd watching the training session was a lot less than the 80,000 expected to attend the full match tomorrow.

Beckham has suffered from multiple injury woes while he’s been at L.A. galaxy, joining with an ankle injury, and seeing his first season with the team plagued by flare ups, meaning he only managed to appear 5 times for his new US soccer team.
Beckham had a kick around with local football stars n a pontoon close to the Sydney Opera House and Bridge, where he kicked footballs, rugby balls and played a bit of Australian rules football too.
He didn’t seem to show any signs of having injury troubles, although earlier in training he did seem concerned about his left ankle. Gullit was convinced Beckham would be playing all 90 minutes of the match though, and is relishing the chance to see all of his players in action for the first time.
“It’s the first time for me to see where we can improve, for them to see what I expect from them and it’s also good for us to get to know each other.”
Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham has accused her husband of turning in to a grumpy old man, telling Ryan Seacrest on his radio show in Los Angeles:
“He’s very frustrated. He came to LA injured, and he’s working so hard and training every day as he just wants to get fit again. He can be tricky to live with and he gets grumpy.”
“He’s so passionate and he knows he has a lot to prove and a lot of work to do. I feel sorry for him. It’s been tough.”
“His ankle is more or less better and the knee’s getting there, he is having so much treatment, he has massages every day. He’s just desperate to get out there and do his thing.”
Victoria is busy with the rest of the Spice Girls preparing for the world tour which will see her and David spending a lot of time apart for the next six months or so.
After the terrible response to the girls comeback single, and the controversy after they mimed on the Children In Need charity telethon last week, maybe Victoria will soon displaying signs of grumpiness too.
