There’s soooo much going on over here in good ol’blighty that I would have had to spend all day and night keeping you up with it, so instead I’ve decided to put it into a nice friendly round up! Chris Martin, known either as Coldplay frontman and talented songwriter or Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband is to record a new album and describes it as “genius“. After a two year absence following the glory of X&Y, the band are finally writing and recording again. I personally can’t wait to hear it.

Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar are continuing their wedding celebrations in India this week. Following their civil wedding and church blessing at the weekend, they’re now planning to party in three different palaces! The newlyweds (41 and 42 respectively) will tie the knot for the second time in Jodhpur. Guests in traditional Indian dress will include pop legend Sir Elton John and Liz’s ex, film heart-throb Hugh Grant, 46. Let’s hope this one has a happier ending!

George Michael has now been announced as the first performer to play at the massive new Wembley stadium in North London. The 43-year-old star will play the opening concert on June 9 at the much-delayed 90,000 capacity super-venue as part of his European tour. Tickets for the gig are to go on sale this Thursday 8th March and demand is expected to be huge. I am a fan of George but don’t particularly fancy paying the price that will be demanded for this gig!

Former S Club 7 star and notorious Celebrity Big Brother contestant Jo O’Meara has gone public and told of her nightmare year and attempts at suicide. Talking exclusively to the News Of the World newsaper, she described how she “gulped a lethal cocktail of booze and pills and lay waiting for death“. She spiralled into a deep depression after being seen as a racist bigot by millions of people on the reality show. She wept: “I wanted to kill myself. I’d had enough of that show and what it had done to me. I just couldn’t carry on living“. Brutal stuff and it seems the Big Brother debacle had more than just Jade Goody’s career and Shilpa Shetty’s dignity as casualties this year.

If rumours are to be believed, it seems as though on-off junkie couple Pete Doherty and Kate Moss are going to get married. Interviewed together for the first time by The News Of the World, the wide-eyed star couple revealed their plans for a wedding at a remote hideaway. Pete described the possible spanner in the works though, “We can’t get married thanks to the police f***ers,” he said. “We want to do it away, a special wedding somewhere miles from anywhere and everyone. But the f***ing police have taken away my passport“. Nice. And there was me thinking abusing coke stopped you from being able to speak coherently and thinking rationally. How wrong was I?
