The winner with 67% of the vote was… (Drum roll)…

Pop Buzz UK - You’ll wish we still owned America

This will now become the new tagline, and be incorporated into the banner and sidebar. Thanks to everyone who voted, and to everyone who suggested taglines in the first place.

Look, up there, yes, above you, see what that is? It’s a spunky new banner for Pop Buzz UK, and it’s a work of genius!

The 451 Press network has finally relented and let us design and post our own banners for our blogs. I’m sure you’ll agree it makes a welcome addition to the blog, and makes your friendly pop culture blogger stand out from the crowd a wee bit. Ok, so I’m not exactly Perez Hilton or TMZ quite yet, but I’m getting there slowly.

Poll: Gordon Brown As Prime Minister

Gordon Brown was the only MP to stand for leader of the Labour party after Tony Blair resigned/retired and will become the new PM by default on June 27th. So the question is, will he do a good job? The dowdy Scot has made a very good chancellor of the exchequer, and has had his eye on the big job for the entirety of Blair’s tenure as Prime Minister.

Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. The amount of times I’ve heard and read this absurd sentence over the last week is unbelieveble. Yes, so a gun is an inanimate object and needs someone to pull the trigger, but if there weren’t the incredible amount of guns available, surely tragedies like Virginia Tech and Columbine wouldn’t happen.
