I’ll tell you right here and now that I am not a journalist. I am a freelance writer, and a professional blogger, and some of my work comes close to be what you’d describe as journalism, but still I would never assume to call myself a journalist. I don’t earn enough from what I do for starters.

However, I am more of a journalist than Coleen McLoughlin ever will be, which makes it slightly absurd to learn that is what she has entered as her occupation on the wedding banns for her forthcoming marriage to England footballer Wayne Rooney.

This is a joke right? Coleen McLoughlin is a WAG, nothing more, nothing less. Good on her for bagging a young footballer who went on to become a great player for Manchester United and England, but I think its time for a reality check.

Do you remember Big Brother 8 star Chanelle Hayes? You know, the one who thought she was Victoria Beckham, even though she looks nothing like her, and has a northern accent. I know she was pretty forgettable, but rack your brains, as she now has her very own sex tape, and surprise surprise, it’s leaked on to the Internet.

Well, I say sex tape, when what I really mean is a sad 40 second clip of her cavorting on a bed in underwear. If this isn’t a faked sex tape which has been purposely leaked on the Web in an effort to become more famous, I’ll eat my hat, and yours too.

I can’t put the video here on Pop Buzz UK, because it hasn’t appeared on YouTube, or any of the other sites which offer embedding , quite yet, but it is only a matter of time. Until then, you can view it on The Sun newspaper’s website, although if I were you, I really wouldn’t bother… it’s not worth the effort.

Just a year after moving out to Los Angeles, it looks like the Beckhams American dream could be about to end, as rumours emerge of a desire to leave LA and head back to the UK.

Last January it was announced that David Beckham had signed for the LA Galaxy, ending his successful stint at Spain’s Real Madrid, and signalling a future in the States for the footballer and his untalented wife.

At the time, Beckham secured a five year contract worth £120,000 (about $250,000) a week, but seeing as he spent most of his first season “playing” at the club on the bench, I’m not sure that was such a good investment.

The celebrity couple were welcomed to LA by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who threw a massive party for their new showbiz mates… although it didn’t work and Becks hasn’t signed up to become a Scientologist.

Now, according to a source speaking to OK! Magazine, Becks is eyeing a possible return to the UK, stating he would be happiest if someone bought out his contract with Galaxy, enabling him to play in England while still earning the same sort of money.

It seems the marriage between Katie Price aka Jordan, and Peter Andre isn’t the dream that they make out it is in public. In fact, things got so bad at one point that the big breasted model actually contemplated suicide.

Jordan and Australian pop singer (former) Peter Andre famously got together and fell in love after both being stars on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here in 2004. They then got married, and had a child together, but despite acting in public as if life were 100% rosy, behind the scenes was another matter entirely.

The revelations have have come out as a result of Katie Price finally writing her long awaited (although not by me) autobiography titled Jordan: Pushed To The Limits. I’m guessing the title refers to her mental well-being rather than her bra cups, but I could be wrong.

The News Of The World newspaper has printed some exclusive previews from the book, and it reveals quite a bit of anguish for the couple over the past few years.

Firstly, after having the couple’s first baby together, Junior Savva Andreas in 2005, Jordan suffered from post natal depression, which drove her to thoughts of suicide.

She struggled to bond with Junior, and eventually ended up in The Priory clinic and was prescribed anti-depressants.

Then after going home again, she went completely off sex, and refused all of Andre’s sexual advances. I can’t say I blame her, as he is a creepy guy, but then again, I didn’t marry him did I.

Noel Gallagher - What, who, where, when? I know he’s cool and all but I’m not sure that the Oasis guitarist and occasional singer deserves to top Zoo Magazine’s 2007 Coolest Blokes List.

The top 100 coolest men in the UK was voted for by Zoo readers, and Noel Gallagher did indeed top the list. In the process, he beat Doctor Who star David Tennant, David Beckham, Daniel Craig and Lewis Hamilton.

Gallagher is definitely the coolest member of Oasis, showing none of the false bravado and smugness of his younger brother Liam, who, incidentally came 22nd in the list.

The thing is, as good as Oasis are, they’re not the force in British music they once were, although last album Don’t Believe The Truth was a return to form. But then that came out in 2005, so can’t be counted for this poll.

Noel just pipped Liverpool, and England footballer Steven Gerrard to the top spot. David Tennant was in third, and latest James Bond Daniel Craig was in fourth.

David Beckham was a surprise fifth place, seeing as he’s moved to Los Angeles, been paid an absolute fortune and failed to live up to the hype. He also helped England fail to qualify for the Euro 2008 Championships, so I certainly wouldn’t have voted for him.

Becks even beat Lewis Hamilton, who could only make it in to sixth place, despite going from a nobody to just being pipped at the post for the Formula One world championships.

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner made it in to the top ten, and deservedly so. Here is a man who has taken the success of his band in his stride, and gone from being an arkward young kid to a singer with pure class.

British supermodel Sophie Anderton has been exposed by a British newspaper as a high class prostitute and coke dealer. The News of the World set up a rendezvous with the former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here‘ reality television star, where she offered to spend the night with one of it’s reporters for £10,000, and also tried to sell them cocaine.

30 year old Anderton came to the public’s attention as a lingerie model for Gossard, and more recently, as a contestant on 2004’s I’m A Celebrity. She has since made a habit of appearing on reality TV shows, having been on ‘Celebrity Love Island’, ‘Fear Factor’, and ‘Cirque De Celebrite’.

This isn’t the first time she has been featured in the tabloid press, with multiple appearances, normally for the wrong reasons. She actually admitted to spending the night as a high class hooker once, but it seems she may now be making a habit of it.

She is also a well known cocaine addict, but as thought to have kicked the habit before entering the jungle on I’m A Celebrity last year. Clearly, from what she told the News of the World, and from the pictures they secured, she is back doing it.

Victoria Beckham is said to have shocked staff with her behaviour and attitudes while visiting husband David Beckham’s father in hospital after he had a heart attack at the end of last month.

Posh Spice returned to the UK with Becks to visit her father in law Ted Beckham on September 26th.

They both went to see him at the London Chest Hospital, but while David Beckham was said to have been friendly and chatty, Victoria acted like a stuck up diva.

I remember seeing Shilpa Shetty in a film titled Baazigar. She was never a favorite but there was something about her startling figure and sleek dancing moves that has made her a fixture in Bollywood for nearly two decades now.

After her presence in the Celebrity Big brother Show in the U.K sparked off a racism debate and she ended up winning the Big Brother Prize, Shilpa Shetty has been having it good. For one thing controversies are stalking her. Take the Richard Gere kiss. As Shilpa is an ambassador of good causes, she and Richard Gere decided to entertain the public a little to help the AIDS cause.

David Beckham is a legend, well at least in the UK, and all soccer loving nations around the world. They may not all like him, as he’s played for their rivals, or put their country out of a World Cup in the past, but they know all about him. And now he’s off to America, to play for L.A. Galaxy for a huge amount of money! So I thought it was time to educate the masses on the other side of the pond about Mr. Beckham, and why, love him or hate him, he’s become one of the biggest footballers in the world, and a pop culture icon.

1. He’s a great soccer player.

First off, this is soccer. Now that’s cleared up… Beckham is a midfielder, normally playing on the right hand side, although he prefers the centre… this means he gets more of the ball, and that does his ego no end of good. Known as a dead ball specialist, his legendary free kicks have bamboozled goalies around the world, and even led to a film being named after him. He played for Manchester United for 11 years, starting as the new pin up boy, replacing Ryan Giggs as the icon teenage girls fantasised about. The first time he came to most fans attention was this wonder goal against Wimbledon in 1996. Soon after that, he made his first appearance for the English national team, which he would later captain. Manchester United won the treble in 1999, a unique feat in British football, and Beckham was an integral part of the success. Beckham eventually fell out with manager Alex Ferguson, probably because there wasn’t room for both their big heads at one football club, and joined Real Madrid in 2003. He became one of the Galacticos, and a firm favourite with the Madrid fans, although he was never consistent enough to please the manager. In January 2007, Becks signed a 5 year deal with the L.A. Galaxy, and will start playing for them on July 1st.

As the whole world and his dog knows by now, Anna Nicole Smith died last night, at around 8.40PM UK time. I was really shocked when I heard the news while listening to the radio. Maybe because of her young age, maybe because her son died only 5 months ago, just something about it, made me pause for a good few moments.

The cause of death is still unknown, even after an autopsy. There certainly seems to be a strange nature and situation surrounding this tragic case. She collapsed and was not breathing and unresponsive when paramedics arrived at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, Hollywood, where she was staying with her lawyer boyfriend Howard K Stern. (more…)

British actress Keira Knightley is suing a British newspaper over claims she is anorexic. The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, who was recently pictured on a beach in a series of bikini shots has reached the end of the tether over the constant press attention of her size and weight. The Daily Mail, a British tabloid who seem to specialise in sensationalist front pages, claimed Keira lied about having an eating disorder. (more…)

It seems there’s a new craze in shoe wear right now in England, DA DA DAAAA, the humble black plimsoll. Yes, those insignificant and ultra cheap rubber shoes that were the blight of some of our childhoods are supposedly the new fashion accessories for this winter. They’ve come and gone through the generations, being feted by one, ridiculed by the next, but it now looks like they are back for another shot at being a fashion icon into a new century. (more…)
