British Jukebox - 17/08/07 | The Enemy, The Specials, Sugababes, The Animals, Gerry & The Pacemakers
The British Jukebox went on a bit of a hiatus for a month, but it’s now back, and much improved from the old version. One reason I gave it a break was because I’m writing a new blog specifically about the British Music Scene over at Brit Music Scene. The other reason/excuse was because I wanted to find a better source for songs, and as you can see below, I managed that beautifully.
So, without further ado, for all those fans of British Music, take a listen to this week’s selection, which ranges in age from the 60s to present day and all in between. This week we have songs from The Specials, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Animals, Sugababes, and The Enemy. Enjoy…
Let me know what you think of this varied selection. Which songs did you enjoy? Had you heard that song before? Have these bands found fame outside of the UK or are they unknown outside of Britain?
Remember, if you have any requests or guilty British Music pleasures that you think I should share with all the readers of Pop Buzz UK, let me know and I’ll do my best to include it in next week’s jukebox. Meanwhile, take a look through the archives of the jukebox posts to see what you may have missed.

Excellent choice with vintage Animals.
Had never heard of the Sugarbabes but thought they were great, too.
