Anna Nicole Smith Dies At 39
As the whole world and his dog knows by now, Anna Nicole Smith died last night, at around 8.40PM UK time. I was really shocked when I heard the news while listening to the radio. Maybe because of her young age, maybe because her son died only 5 months ago, just something about it, made me pause for a good few moments.
The cause of death is still unknown, even after an autopsy. There certainly seems to be a strange nature and situation surrounding this tragic case. She collapsed and was not breathing and unresponsive when paramedics arrived at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, Hollywood, where she was staying with her lawyer boyfriend Howard K Stern.
The woman had quite an incredible yet tragic life, courting controversy from the moment she met billionaire oil tycoon J Howard Marshall II while working as a topless dancer. 63 years his junior, it didn’t stop them marrying 2 years later in 1994 despite protestations from his family and worldwide revulsion at the coupling. Marshall died 14 months later, triggering a long running legal battle between Smith and Marshall’s son Pierce. The wrangling over the will is still ongoing, despite Pierce dying earlier this year, and now Anna’s demise. Legal experts were predicting Anna would win the case, and up to her death she was yet to receive any money from her late husband’s estate since his death.
Among other highlights in a life of bizarre ups and downs were being Playboy Playmate of the year 1993, starring in some (not bad) films including ‘The Hudsucker Proxy‘ and ‘Naked Gun 33 and a 3rd‘. Her battle with weight, which fluctuated wildly throughout her showbiz career, was also widely reported. This culminated in her endorsing diet drug TrimSpa, who had a lawsuit filed against them over their claims of what the drug could achieve.
She leaves behind a 5 month old daughter, the paternity of which is still a matter of dispute although Howard K Stern was listed on the birth certificate. She’ll be sadly missed, if only because she injected an in incredible streak of fun and showbiz into our lives in what for her was a much too short one.

It seems like it was a very odd death. I was watching it on the news as the story unfolded. One moment they were on saying that she had collapsed and was being rushed to the hospital, the next moment they reported that she was dead. I heard on the news that it may take up to 5 weeks before they know exactly the reason for her death.

As a single mom, I can’t help but feel for her little girl… where is she? who’s taking care of her right now?… I only hope that she’s surrounded by loving and caring people.

I believe that Howard overdosed Anna and Daniel and that is what lead them to die. I would like to know if Howard was with Anna before she died. What I mean was he in the room when Anna was a live and then overdosed her and took off knowing she was died. That is what I believe happened here. Why was Howard so hard to track down when Anna died because he knew he was involved and didn’t want to be caught. Howard seemed to also have control issues. Why do you think that he took Anna to the bahamas because she wanted to make sure that he was the only one with Anna which seems fishy here. Howard needs to be checked into. Also I think that Howard isn’t the father of Dannie Lynn Hope otherwise he would have taken the dna test already but he knows he isn’t the father. Why are they not doing anything for the baby. I think she is in danger with Howard K stern. I believe that the father is Larry and he should be with his child.

Thanks for commenting Becky, that is quite an allegation there. I certainly think Howard needs to be checked out a bit more, and his involvement or otherwise in either death be properly investigated.
