A Slice Of Pop Pie: Spam Spammy Spam
This is my weekly round-up of the best pop culture blog posts from all over the blogosphere. I realised a long time ago that I can’t cover every story that breaks, so instead I bring you the ones that have interested me in this nice little feature I like to call ‘A Slice Of Pop Pie‘…
According to the traveller’s weblog Gadling, British Airways edited Richard Branson out of in-flight copies of Bond film Casino Royale. The rival Virgin Airways boss’ cameo appearance was strangely absent from the version shown on BA flights. 3 words for you… petty, childish, spiteful.
The cast of London musical Spamalot were amongst people setting the world record for a coconut orchestra in Trafalgar Square on Monday. 5,567 people beat last year’s record of 1,789, set in New York. All I can say to that is spam, spam, spam, spam, spam , spam, spam spam.
A new genre will be coming to the massive multiplayer gaming world next Spring, with the arrival of Football Manager Live from Sports Interactive. It’ll be a soccer game of immense size, and beta testing starts next month. Wow, I can’t wait for that, I love football management games as it is, let alone being able to transfer and play against people around the world.
The uber exciting and addictive series Heroes was back on air in America on Monday with .07% after a 6 week spell off air. British cable viewers are still catching up so won’t notice the break, while it’s still months away from being available on terrestrial when it airs on BBC2.
